An under-strength City side wasted little time as Chris Shuker opened the scoring after just seven minutes.
Four minutes later Shukers corner was headed home from eight yards by Lucien Mettomo.
Darren Huckerby then scored the third before Laurent Charvet made it 4-0 before half-time.
Vicente Vuoso struck the fifth and then Shuker got his second of the game to complete the scoring.
