Comment: Jimmy & Viduka....I should have bet on it!

I was busy on the day of the match, but otherwise I would have made a
trip to bookies to bet my house on both of them scoring against us on Monday.

We have already come up against the big three in the Premiership this season: Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United. Against the Gunners our back four managed to keep out Thierry Henry and friends - only to let Ashley Cole score the only goal of the game. But cleans sheets against Chelsea and Manchester United were both well-deserved. Wayne Rooney, Ruud Van
Nistelrooy, Didier Drogba and Mateja Kezman all failed to breach the Blues' rearguard.

I think that any striker needing a goal must look at their fixture list and relish a forthcoming game against us. No disrespect to Viduka and Hasselbaink, they are both forwards of very high quality, but us City fans
just can't understand what is going on in these games that are there for the taking.

Meanwhile, we must all be pleased that some youngsters have finally been given a chance by Keegan. However, the quality amongst the senior
players in the side just isn't good enough to shoulder the responsibility that is needed with younger players in the side.

When you look at Everton's experienced players they have nothing on City's, but this season the elder statesmen of Goodision Park have been working
tirelessly for each other, and for one individual in particular: their manager. David Moyes has instilled pride in his players, a will to win and the
determination to never give up - and it has paid dividends for the Toffeemen. A similar scenario was when Keegan nearly took Newcastle to the championship in 1996 he brought the Geordies to a new level. But so far it has not happened with City and it is looking inevitable that it won't.

A regeneration at Goodision wasn't enough to keep Wayne Rooney on Merseyside, but maybe a regeneration on the blue half of Manchester will definitely help us - rather than hinder us - in our future struggle to
keep Shaun Wright-Phillips. Keegan is not going to be around for much longer. When the time comes to choose yet another manager the board will be making one of the most important decisions in the club's recent
history.
