JORDAN AGREES 12-MONTH DEAL

The 22-year-old, yet to be handed a first-team start, is willing to give his City career one last chance, but is likely to move on next summer if he still fails to make an impression at the City of Manchester Stadium.

The Warrington-born defender had turned down Kevin Keegan's initial offer, which alerted the attention of Second Division Peterborough, but feels with Michael Tarnat and Danny Tiatto now departed, he may get his chance this term.

However, Ben Thatcher will start as City's first-choice left-back after completing his move from Leicester. The Wales international has moved for an undisclosed fee after signing a three-year deal last week.

Meanwhile, Tiatto is about to complete a move to Leicester, thus swapping places with Thatcher. Tarnat is now with Bundesliga side Hannover, who offered the 34-year-old a two-year deal.
