Darren Huckerby has scored two goals in his four games on loan and both he and manager, Nigel Worthington, are pleased. The Canaries have taken ten points from twelve in those games and now lie fourth in Division One.
"I think things are looking really positive. We've adapted well so far and we're hopefully only going to get better," Huckerby told the Eastern Daily Press.
Worthington is now hoping to secure a permanent move. "I'd love it, I'd really love it," he told the Pink'un.
"Nobody more than me wants to keep him here, but at the end of the day money is the bottom line.
"It's down to Manchester City and obviously the thoughts of the boy but keeping him here is something this club as a whole will be working very hard to do."
Meanwhile, Whelan has joined Bury in order to get some first-team experience. The midfielder has impressed in the reserves and was given a brief run-out at Cardiff against TNS.
Whelan will team up with former City youngster, Terry Dunfield, who has just recovered from a shoulder injury.
