The Costa Rica international is therefore disapointed that the season has now come to an end, especially after netting four goals in the last three games.
"It was a great way to sign off the season. It was a big relief personally and for the team as well," he told the club's official website.
"It was a difficult season but at least we managed to stay in the Premiership. At first we wanted to be in the top six but now we have done well to stay up."
The Costa Rica international made 26 appearances for for City this season but was in the staring line-up only 13 times, and he also missed three months through injury.
"Every player needs a run in the side, that is the way you can improve your game," adde the 27-year-old. "It has helped me to work during the week knowing that I can get into the side on Saturday.
"To be honest I wanted the third goal to sign off with a hat-trick but it didn't happen, though I am happy with the two goals and the win."
Referring to top-scorer Nicolas Anelka, he added: "We are getting to know each other now and it has been good to play the four games together. Now hopefully the partnership can continue next year."
