Tuesday transfer rumours Aguero Cole NZogbia Lansbury

Aguerro to fill Tevez hole. The painfully long Carlos Tevez saga is now finally drawing to a close, with just a few payment scheduling issues to be resolved. The imminent return of the Argentinian playmaker to former club Corinthians has reignited City?s interest in £40m Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero. However the clock is ticking on the deal as Atletico start their Europa League campaign in 10 days and City will be desperate to ensure that the player is not cup-tied for their own inaugural UEFA Champions League appearance.

Cole could be Toon bound ? Joe Cole has spent the last few days claiming that the arrival of former Chelsea Assistant boss, Steve Clarke, is the catalyst he needs to kick-start his Liverpool career. However rumours coming out of Merseyside suggest that the England International has fallen so far down the Anfield pecking order that Kenny Dalglish is willing to listen to offers for him. A number of the Premier League?s mid-ranking clubs could be interested, with Newcastle possibly having the most urgent need for the services of a midfield dynamo.

Wigan wants £10 million for N?Zogbia ? The future of Wigan prized asset, Charles N?Zogbia is still in the balance this week despite firm interest from several clubs, most notably Aston Villa. The sticking point would appear to be the price of the striker who only has one year left on his contract. Villa?s offer of £9 million seems reasonable for a striker who has yet to show true consistency at the highest level and Dave Whelan?s insistence of holding out for an additional £1 million is not going down well at Villa Park. However Whelan?s business acumen is unlikely to allow N?Zogbia to leave for free next summer, so you can expect some kind of compromise deal to be struck over the coming week.

Lansbury, should he stay or should he go? ? Henri Lansbury is at the cross roads of his young career and cannot decide whether to stay at Arsenal and fight for a first team place or sign permanently for newly promoted Norwich where he spent last season on loan. Although Arsenal have rejected a £1.5 million bid from the East Anglia club, an increased offer of an additional £1 million is likely to see them prepared to do business. It will all then be down to the player to decide on whether the wishes to be a major part of Norwich?s Premier League survival battle of a bit part of Arsenal?s bid to finally end their six year trophy drought.
