The Transfer window slams shut at 5pm today and despite spending over £100m already this summer, Mark Hughes may be tempted to have one last dabble in the transfer market.
But it is the departures that most fans will be interested in as City attempt to clear the decks of the players Hughes deems surplus to requirements.
However, the first rumour of the day involving the club has seen City involved in talks for Tottenham winger David Bentley, who may move to Eastlands in exchange for Martin Petrov. The Bulgarian is the last remaining signing of the Sven Goran Eriksson era and may follow in the footsteps of Vedran Corluka, who moved to White Hart Lane last summer.
Of the confirmed transfers, City can finally wave goodbye to Israeli defender Tal Ben-Haim, who has signed for bottom club Portsmouth on a four year contract, subject to a medical. Ben-Haim was signed last summer for £5m from Chelsea but failed to make any sort of impact at Eastlands. Former player of the Year Richard Dunne is undergoing a medical at Villa Park ahead of his proposed £6m move to the Midlands.
