Today's papers seem unable to agree on who City are about to sign.
The Sunday Times reports the blues have agreed a £15m fee with Arsenal for defender Kolo Toure and personal terms have even been agreed. They also state that John Terry and Joleon Lescott will be joining him at Eastlands before the close of the transfer window.
The Mail on Sunday state Terry's £35m move to the blues is getting closer but the Sunday Express disagrees with this, saying the England skipper is likely to remain at Chelsea.
City will be encouraged in the Terry saga by the fact that the player has refused to make any sort of comment regarding his future. Terry is reported to be unhappy at th elack of direction within the club and their failure to land any top name players, with City proving a better lure this season.
Next up is Matthew Upson, a little mentioned name recently but has been thrown onto the long list of potential new signings. Spurs are reported to be chasing him so any move for the defender will be sure to upset Harry Redknapp, who will no doubt have a whinge that City have again outpriced him in the transfer market.
