David Beckham has been linked with a move to City or Spurs when the American MLS season finishes in October. The former United star will be looking towards the Premiership in an effort to boost his England World Cup chances.
Meanwhile Mark Hughes is expected to return to Everton with an improved offer for England defender Joleon Lescott while also still trying to persuade John Terry to leave Chelsea and join the Eastlands revolution.
In other news, former City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is holding talks with Notts County about becoming their director of football. Sven was sacked by former City chairman Thaksin Shinawatra after just one season and briefly managed the Mexican national side but now a return to English football looks likely.
