Moving away from the John Terry subject, it has been rumoured today that City will complete the signing of Argentine striker Carlos Tevez.
The long running saga may finally be coming to an end as Tevez, who finished his two year loan stint at Old Trafford, aimed a parting shot at United manager Sir Alex Ferguson by saying Ferguson did no respect him as a player.
Tevez claims that before Berbatov arrived, Ferguson said he would be the starting striker, before claiming the United manager lied to him.
"What I want to do next season is score against United," the striker says. "I promise not to celebrate in front of United fans but I will shout in Ferguson's face. It will be one of the most beautiful things I have done in football."
Tevez has been chased by Liverpool and Chelsea but rumours that he has enrolled his daughter in a school in Cheshire indicate the Argentine wants to remain in the North West and having dismissed Liverpool as a possible destination, City are his more likely suitors.
