The Blues face bottom-club Wolves at home on Saturday before travelling to Spurs, where they won 2-0 last season, on Easter Monday.
The 26-year-old told teamtalk: "You don't want to be sucked into a relegation battle. To have a four-point gap ahead of the bottom three after Sunday's draw at Villa is pleasing and we've got a better goal difference as well.
"We've got two big games over Easter against Wolves at home and away to Tottenham and we've got to go out in those and perform to the best of our ability again.
"We believe we are capable of beating anyone in this division and we have proved that in certain games this season with the way we have played."
