The Argentina striker was officially unveiled as the most expensive signing in City's history, after his ?38million switch from Atletico Madrid was finalised.
He will walk into a dressing room with a number of familiar faces and Aguero, who will wear the number 16 shirt, revealed words from his compatriot Pablo Zabaleta convinced him to take a new challenge.
Winning hands: Sergio Aguero wants to bring success to Manchester City
Aguero said: 'Zabaleta has told me all about them (the squad) and it is all very positive. He has told me that it is a happy squad and I have only heard good things about them.
'I had spoken with Zabaleta and when we were talking, I asked my agents to do everything they could because this is a good club and I always wanted to play in the Premier League. It is a good club and this feels right.
'I don't think I'll have too many problems settling into the team,' he said. 'I'll obviously be doing my best to do what the manager asks and try to work the way he wants me to,and of course he will know how he wants to use me.
'Once I'm out on the field I will getto know my way round, but I can't say that for sure because I have not even made my debut yet. But I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm going to be relaxed about it.'

Having won a gold medal with Argentina at the 2008 Olympics and the Europa League with Atletico in 2009, Aguero is confident he will add to his collection with City.
'I saw (City) win the FA Cup last season,' he said. 'I think we are a team that, in the future, will be fighting every year to win major trophies - and let's hope that it is quite a few major trophies.
'I have played against (David) Silva and Yaya Toure but now we are here in a team which right now is one of the biggest in England. I am lucky to be playing alongside them. I am happy for that.'
Blue move: Aguero has just returned from representing Argentina in the Copa America
Atletico confirmed the deal minutes before City, and wished their former player a fond farewell.
'From this moment the Argentinian player ceases being part of our squad,' said a club statement. 'The clubthank him for his services during these five seasons and wish him luck in his new role.'
Aguero is the latest in a line of high-profile signings for City from the Spanish league, and he is already familiar with new team-mates Yaya Toure and David Silva from having played against them in La Liga.
Asked what he would add to the side, Aguero said: 'My style has always been to fight to the death for every ball, and give 100 per cent in every game.
'Be concentrated to the maximum in everything I do; movement, running off the ball, winning the ball back and scoring goals. I'm not a player who can do everything, but I still have plenty to offer.'
