Sunday's rumour mill is in full swing as reports claim City are set for a £20m summer bid for Chelsea's John Terry, while Micah Richards will be the biggest casualty of a summer clearout by Mark Hughes, along with England prospect Joe Hart, Darius Vassell and Benjani.
Richards, whose form has been as erratic as City's away form is a target for Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa, while other reports have stated that City are set to launch a bid for Barcelona winger Barcelona winger Lionel Messi and Yaya Toure.
Even following three straight victories, taking City to the edge of a place in Europe next season, Mark Hughes's position has once more been put under the spotlight. Jose Mourinho is the latest to be added to the list of possible replacements, following Jurgen Klinsmann and Roberto Mancini earlier in the week.
People yet to be linked to the non-vacant position include all current Premier League, Championship, League One and Two managers, Stuart Pearce, Sven Goran Eriksson, Kevin Keegan, Ken Dodd, Gordon Brown and Uncle Tom Cobley, although it is only a matter of time before any of these figure in the headlines. If not, then Mark Hughes is set to become the Premiership's most sacked manager without actually being sacked.
