Ruben Dias to miss Manchester derby with hamstring injury

Pep Guardiola has confirmed Manchester City will be without centre-back Ruben Dias for the next month after he picked up a hamstring injury.

Dias managed the first 45 minutes of City's 2-0 win over Peterborough in the FA Cup fifth round but, alongside Nathan Ake, was withdrawn at the interval through injury.

Guardiola has now revealed both players will miss Sunday's derby against Manchester United and explained that Dias may not be seen for over a month.

"Nathan and Ruben are not ready," he said. "The rest are ready."

On Dias, he added: "Muscular. Hamstring. Four to six weeks. It happens.

"In other seasons our best players have been out for months. I'd love to have him but he's not there, I will not cry. It is what it is.

"We have decent players available. We have 14-15 players. With these players we are going to fight and try to play good. It's impossible to fight if you don't play good. We play with our people and hopefully our people support as they always do."
