The frontman did not appear for City for almost six months last term after his refusal to warm-up during a Champions League game last September sparked a row with Mancini and the club. However, Tevez has made a bright start to the current campaign, scoring in City's first three Premier League games.
The 28-year-old Argentina international, who is not in Alejandro Sabella's squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Peru, says the national team is not his priority and he is focused on his club.
He was quoted as saying in The Guardian:
"I am focused on my club and on the Premier League and the Champions League. "This is what I wanted - to have this hunger for success back again.
"The disagreement with Roberto has ended up being good for me because it has helped give me back this hunger.
"Before, I was playing just to attract the attention of the national team manager. Now I'm playing for the enjoyment and because I have that desire to win things.
"The national team is not my priority. I am concentrating on my club. I have had my first good pre-season in four or five years and I feel good."
