The 22-year-old''s only appearance this season came in the 0-0 draw at Stoke in the Premier League clash on September 14, but he was then sidelined by a hamstring injury.
However the England international, who has been restricted to just 16 appearances for City since his £12m move from Everton in August 2012, is now back in full training and hopes to feature in the Premier League match against West Ham at Upton Park on October 19.
Jack Rodwell: "I''m fit and I am back training.
"Basically I am fit for the next game. I won''t be match fit but I am fit for selection."
City travel to CSKA Moscow and Chelsea after the West Ham trip before another away game against Newcastle in the Capital One Cup on October 30.
