Robinho has moved to quash speculation linking him with a return to his former club Santos.
The Brazilian, a British record £32.5m signing from Real Madrid, says Santos are the 'team of my heart and one day I want to go back, but not now.' He also insisted he is very happy at Eastlands.
Santos president Marcelo Teixeira claims to have spoken to Robinho about his future and his first season in the Premier League. "He is not happy in England. He said he is interested in returning to Santos," says Texeira, who also admits it is diffcult to compete financially with European clubs. Any fee for the Brazilian would almost certainly exceed the £32.5m City paid for him last summer.
Meanwhile on the transfer front, City have again been touted as leading the race to sign Carlos Tevez and are reported to be favourites to sign West Ham's Lucas Neill, after the Australian turned down the offer of a new one year contract. If he signs, Neill will link up with former manager Mark Hughes.
