Manchester City have announced that Riyad Mahrez has signed a contract extension which ties him to the club until 2025.
90min reported this summer that the Algerian was ready to commit his future to the Premier League champions, who have sold two forwards this transfer window in Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
But he will not be following them out the exit door as City announced on Friday that Mahrez has penned an extension at the Etihad Stadium, with his previous deal set to expire in 2023.
"I'm very happy to sign the new deal," Mahrez told City's club channels. "I have enjoyed every single minute of my time here. It’s a pleasure to be part of such an incredible club.
