The Marseille star has been linked with Newcastle, Southampton and Fulham, but now claims he only has to agree personal terms for a City deal to be done.

"I will be in England today and will meet with Kevin Keegan to discuss the financial terms of the transfer," he told egyptianplayers.com.

"Joining Manchester City is a big move for me. I knew about the deal between Marseille and Manchester City from Marseille officials, but I still have no idea about the transfer details. I will know about the details once I arrive to Manchester.

"I am now fully fit after injury. If I sign for Manchester City, I will start preparations right away. I'm really delighted to play in the English Premiership and will be even more delighted to play alongside Anelka and McManaman."

The 21-year-old, who could intially join on loan, hit 9 goals in 30 starts last term after moving from Ajax but the financially stricken French club are keen to cut their wage bill.

- Meanwhile, Lazio have agreed to come to the City of Manchester Stadium for a friendly on August 7 - a week before the season's opener against Fulham.

The Italian giants have also arranged a friendly with Coca-Cola Championship side Cardiff City.
