The Italian has only just started to show his true worth at Eastlands after a controversial 18 months in England. And having endured a public spat with his manager during pre-season, rumours have been rife he wanted a switch back to Serie A.
Driving force: Mario Balotelli has shone at Manchester City this season
However with the Carlos Tevez affair opening the door to the first-team, Balotelli has shone, scoring seven in his last eight games, which has only served to strengthen the interest in him at his former club.
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti claimed he would make a move for the 21-year-old in January, but after scoring his first goal for his country in a 2-0 win away at Poland last week, Balotelli claimed he was flattered by the link but nothing more.
AC Milan have also shown an interest, while City's Champions League opponents Napoli are also keen.
We're Inter you: The striker cost ?25m when he moved to City from Inter Milan
When asked about a potential move, he said: 'Not now. One day, we will see. It's true I have spoken about Inter or Milan, but there are also other teams in England, or in Spain. And Napoli? I have said that I like the town.
'I thank Moratti for saying he would sign me back immediately. But I'm very happy where I am. I don't want to leave Manchester City right now.
Regarding his international aspirations, Balotelli added: 'The European Championship?' said Balotelli. 'We will go to win, otherwise it is the end of the world.'
