Manchester Citys Kelvin Etuhu jailed for eight months

Manchester City striker Kelvin Etuhu has been jailed for eight months for a drunken street brawl which left a man with a broken jaw.

Etuhu, 22, attacked Owen Fitzpatrick following a dispute in a casino cocktail bar, Warrington Crown Court heard.

The six-foot forward was caught on camera kicking the victim three times on the ground after he floored him with a punch.

The fight broke out after two groups of club-goers had earlier squared up in the Manchester 235 Casino in the early hours of February 28 last year.

Etuhu previously pleaded guilty at Manchester Crown Court to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray and was sentenced by Judge David Hale at Warrington.

The Nigerian-born player is a graduate of the Manchester City academy, making his first senior City appearance in September 2007 before being loaned out to Leicester towards the end of that season.

The younger brother of Fulham player Dickson Etuhu, he has also been on loan at Cardiff and Rochdale. He was left out of City's Premier League squad for the 2010/11 season.
