The Montenegro defender has joined City from Serbian side Partizan Belgrade and will bring some much-needed competition to a defence which is without Kolo Toure following his ban for a failed drugs test.
The 20-year-old is already capped six times by his country and was one of the stand-out performers when minnows Montenegro earned a brilliant draw against England and Wembley last year.
Signing on: Stefan Savic (left) arrives at Bridgewater Hospital for his medical
City had no fewer than five players feature for the Three Lions that night, and speaking the club, Savic says he cannot wait to get to know the players personally.
'I never imagined that I'd be team-mates with all those City players within a year and I'm so happy tobe at this club,' he said. 'I can't wait to play alongside them and allthe other fantastic players we have here.
'It is a dream come true and I'm especially looking forward to meeting Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov because they both speak my language and come from the Balkans, too. Aleks has already phoned me to welcome to City which makes me feel at home already.
Potential team-mates: Stefan Savic (left) and Samir Nasri could be lining up at Eastlands next year
'I watch the Premier League all the time and I know it's the place to be so I am just looking forward to helping this club achieve great things. We have an incredible stadium and I've seen how passionate the City fans are many times on TV.
'Montenegro play England later this year so I'm expecting to have some great banter with the England lads. I'm just really happy to be a City player.'

Next: City will now switch focus to their attack with Sergio Aguero a prime target
He enjoyed a 10-day trial with rivals Arsenal in 2010 but the club were not suitably impressed to offer him a deal.
Having moved quickly to sure up theirdefence with the capture of Gael Clichy as well, City will now turn their attention to the attacking departments when Samir Nasri is expected to complete a ?19m move from the Gunners in the coming days.
Carlos Tevez will then need to be replaced, with Atletico Madrid's Sergio 'Kun' Aguero top of Roberto Mancini's wishlist.
