Man City predicted lineup vs Southampton - FA Cup

Manchester City are aiming for the last four of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, as they travel to Southampton.

Pep Guardiola has seen his team endure some patchy form of late, as they enter this weekend having drawn 0-0 with both Sporting CP and Crystal Palace in their previous two outings.

Those goalless stalemates, however, have followed a run of three consecutive victories in which they notably thumped Manchester United 4-1.

They'll be hopeful of making it through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup this weekend, having to overcome a Southampton side that has lost its previous three fixtures.

Here's how the visitors could shape up.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Zack Steffen (GK) - Missed City's victory over Peterborough in the previous round through injury, but should return to the lineup for this one.

Kyle Walker (RB) - Recently omitted from the England squad, the flying full-back should be confident of his spot this weekend.

John Stones (CB) - Should be set to retain his spot, having started his side's previous three outings.

Nathan Ake (CB) - Has started each of City's FA Cup fixtures this term, and should be called upon once more for this one.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB) - With some slight rotation expected, the ever-reliable Ukrainian could be called upon to fill in for Joao Cancelo.

2. Midfielders

Fernandinho (DM) - With the aforementioned rotation in mind, we could see the veteran Brazilian come into the fold for Rodri.

Kevin de Bruyne (CM) - Consistently demonstrating his world-class quality at the moment, De Bruyne can boast four goals and six assists in his previous ten appearances across all competitions.

Ilkay Gundogan (CM) -
With two goals in three outings so far in the competition, the German should be given a fourth FA Cup start of the campaign.

3. Forwards

Riyad Mahrez (RW) - The visitors' in-form attacker at the moment, Mahrez has eight goals and two assists in his last ten - although has drawn blanks in his previous two.

Gabriel Jesus (ST) - Could be set for a first start since his side's fifth-round victory.

Raheem Sterling (LW) - Should come back into the side, having missed out on his side's 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park last time out.
