Manchester City will look to seal a spot in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup when they face Southampton on Wednesday.
Pep Guardiola's side are always among the favourites to win this competition and won't expect any troubles from a Southampton side rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.
Here's how City could set up...
Man City predicted lineup vs Southampton (4-3-3)
GK: Stefan Ortega - An extended rest for Ederson with Ortega set to continue in his role as the cup goalkeeper.
RB: Rico Lewis - The teenager is quietly establishing himself as City's best right-back and is definitely at least second in the pecking order. Joao who?
CB: John Stones - Stones has been the star of City's defence this season and will likely start here after missing the Chelsea game.
CB: Manuel Akanji - Aymeric Laporte is back in action and will likely get some minutes here, but perhaps not from the start after playing the full 90 last time out.
LB: Sergio Gomez - Gomez absolutely cooked Chelsea's backline and deserves another chance to start here.
DM: Kalvin Phillips - Remember this guy? He's in line for his first start of the season.
CM: Phil Foden - Foden is under a bit of pressure to prove himself to Guardiola and needs some big showings in these cup games to re-establish himself.
CM: Ilkay Gundogan - Risking Kevin De Bruyne or Bernardo Silva in this sort of game seems a little pointless. The industrious Gundogan should get the nod.
RW: Riyad Mahrez - A goalscorer phenom in recent weeks, Mahrez simply cannot be dropped at this point.
ST: Julian Alvarez - Alvarez bagged a penalty against Chelsea and should get another chance to play ahead of Erling Haaland
LW: Jack Grealish - Grealish was unwell for the Chelsea game but has since recovered and should return to the lineup.
