Man City predicted lineup vs Arsenal - FA Cup 4th round

Manchester City are playing catch up on Arsenal in the Premier League this season, but an FA Cup fourth round meeting is an opportunity to try and re-exert some dominance.

City have won each of the last five meetings between these sides, although they are yet to face a much improved Gunners side at all this season.

Here's a look at the starting XI Pep Guardiola could pick for this one...

GK: Stefan Ortega - Has been the designated domestic cup goalkeeper this season and there is no reason why that won't continue after previous outings against Liverpool and Chelsea.

RB: Kyle Walker - Slowly working his way back to full fitness and actually captained the side against Chelsea last time out in this competition.

CB: Aymeric Laporte - Another who hasn't been involved a great deal of late. Made his return to Premier League action against Wolves last weekend and also started the Chelsea cup tie.

CB: Manuel Akanji - Has probably played more than he would have expected this season as a result of Ruben Dias missed a chunk of the campaign.

LB: Sergio Gomez - Part of the second string that has had chances in this competition. Joao Cancelo is another option but has been generally out of favour.

CM: Bernardo Silva - This hasn't been a vintage season by his previous standards and that will be disappointing if it proves to be his last at the club.

CM: Rodri - Pretty much a constant at the heart of the team this season and that has included domestic cup games. It's worth noting that he didn't actually started when City were stunned by Southampton in the Carabao Cup recently.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan - Guardiola may fancy his skipper's grit and experience in this one rather than change things up too much.

RW: Riyad Mahrez - Has put up another double digits season in front of goal already, including two against Chelsea in the last round of this competition.

ST: Julian Alvarez - Another on the scoresheet last time out in this competition and likley to get a chance to add to his tally if Erling Haaland is given a night off.

LW: Jack Grealish - Has made the most of recent Phil Foden absences. And with the home-grown star a potential doubt here, the opportunity could continue.
