Kev plans to find the key

City have proved a tough proposition when facing the league's big guns, but when the roles are reversed and City are the favourites, the Blues have found it difficult to break teams down.

City face host West Brom and Southampton over the Christmas period, but when the Blues faced fellow strugglers Norwich and Blackburn earlier in the season, they were unable to seal a win despite dominating both games.

But having taken just one more point at home than away, Keegan has promised to address the problem, perhaps with a signing in January.

"The teams that have attacked us at home have had a tough time against us and any team that has had ambitions of their own like Chelsea and Arsenal have found it tough," the City boss told the club's official website.

"We have struggled against teams that have sat back and that is something we have to address. We will do that either in the way we play or in the transfer window by getting in a player who can maybe unlock something in those difficult games whether it be a front player or a midfield player.

"We have had that type of player before in Ali Benarbia and Eyal Berkovic who on their day could unlock defences. But that player has to be able to contribute week in and week out and those players are hard to find."
