The claim follows a dramatic week at the club which started with a players revolt following the lacklustre home defeat to Southampton.
The City squad, apparently led by England keeper David James, called a crisis meeting to speak out about the training and organisation under Keegan.
The players want to spend more time on defensive work and running through set-pieces. And watching City this season, it doesn't take a football genius to notice that these are areas that could be improved.
So even if City do survive, The Sun suggests, Keegan will still be on his way in the summer.
