Keegan still aiming for top 6 spot

"People have been laughing at us saying about the top six," Keegan said after the victory over one of his previous club's.

"But we're creeping up and now we're ninth.

"We should aim for the top six because you should set a target which stretches the players.

"I would like to think we can get nearer to the top six."

Nicolas Anelka, not for the first time this season, scored the all-important winner and Keegan was again singing his striker's praises.

"When you're talking about talent, you're talking about talent with a massive 'T'. And I like working with him an awful lot," said the City boss.

"He's the most exciting player to work with because, despite what everybody thinks, this guy hasn't reached anywhere near his full potential - and that's what's frightening."

"You can understand why he's got some of the press he's had - but that's not the Nicolas Anelka I know."
