Stevan Jovetic admits to snubbing various offers during the transfer window in favour of remaining a part of Fiorentina's ambitious project.
The Montenegro international found himself the subject of intense speculation, with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Juventus reported to be keen on acquiring his services.
Jovetic opted to snub the advances from afar, though, and commit himself to his current employers.
The highly-rated 22-year-old believes Fiorentina are a side heading in the right direction and is 'happy' that he made the right choice in turning down a high-profile switch elsewhere.
"I am happy to be at the centre of this project at Fiorentina," Jovetic told Sky Sport Italia.
"I'm looking to show on the field that I am happy to still be in Florence.
"I received important offers in the summer and I thought about what to do but the club promised me that they would build a great team, and that has happened. So many good players have arrived and we can do much better than last season.
"I decided to stay at Fiorentina and I am very happy. I want to try and win something here.
"My agent did not put any pressure on me. He did his job by telling me about the offers that were coming in, but in the end I decided to stay at Fiorentina."
