But the 24-year-old has reinstated his desire to stay with the Blues.
"I am very happy here at City and have absolutely no desire or intention to leave," he told the City website.
"I want to concentrate on playing for this football club and am very positive about the future.
"I trust this is the end of the matter and we can get on with preparing for the Christmas period of games."
