"We are really pleased with the level of performance we have produced," he told Sky Sports.
"We have done it before this season but what we haven't been able to do it on a consistent basis.
"That is why we have struggled to gain the points that we feel that our quality deserves.
"What we need to do now, going into the second half of the season, is make sure the standard we set today is maintained right until the end of the year.
"I thought some of our attacking play was really good. Felipe Caicedo came in and had a real presence for us.
"He retained the ball high up the field and took his goals really well. That gives us a platform. I always felt we had enough today."
