Howey begins comeback

Howey injured the ligaments in his foot during the Worthington Cup defeat at Wigan last month but after a successful operation he is now eying a return to action when City take on the Trotters at Maine Road on Saturday.

"Steve will train with us on Thursday," said City boss Kevin Keegan."

But we will wait and take a late decision as to whether he will be available for Saturday."
