Manchester City's 25-man Premier League and Champions League squads will include Owen Hargreaves after he joined on a one-year deal. The 30-year-old former England international was released by rivals Manchester United earlier this summer after a series of injury plagued campaigns saw him make only 27 appearances for the Red Devils since his arrival from Bayern Munich in 2007.The Canadian-born star was thought to be on the verge of signing for West Brom, but City made a surprise move to sign him ahead of Wednesday's 11pm deadline.Despite the injury nightmare which hampered him during his spell across Manchester at Old Trafford, Hargreaves passed a stringent medical and insisted that he is capable of playing 40 games in a season. And, City boss Roberto Mancini, who had already snapped up Sergio Aguero, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Stefan Savic in the summer transfer window, is willing to give Hargreaves the benefit of the doubt by naming him in his squads for domestic and European action this term which have to be handed in to the respective authorities by midnight.
