"It was frustrating because we created good chances in the game and there were long periods when we were in the ascendancy," the City boss said after the match.
"They got a breakaway goal against the run of play and have taken the chance they've created.
"Today we haven't been able to get that positive result. Perhaps we've played a little too much like the home team on the road this year and we've been caught on the break.
"I think that happened again here.
"Performance wise it's as good as we've played away from home, and that includes the draw at Liverpool.
"If we concede first then teams are prepared to get people behind the ball and we find it difficult to break them down."
