Goat closes in on a ton

The Goat hit number 99 for the blues in Saturday's 2-1 win at West Bromwich Albion and should really have reached his ton in the same game after hitting the post when easier to score late in the game.

That miss gives the Goat a chance to really go down in City folklore by hitting his ton for the blues against the Rags in Saturday's derby, that is if he doesn't manage to score against Wigan on Tuesday night.

Goat gave his thoughts on approaching the ton to the official site.

"It was great that both Nicolas and I got on the score sheet. I didn't realise before the game that I was on ninety eight goals. Now I suppose this would be a good week in which to reach the hundred mark!"
