United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes his side’s 4-3 win over City means he has silenced the ‘noisy neighbours’ but unfortunately for the Scot, he will have to apply for an ASBO if he is to truly silence the blues.
Ferguson’s words will only inspire the blues to improve on their defensive record, which has seen them leak six goals in two games after keeping four straight clean sheets. It will also make the return game at Eastlands so much more interesting, particularly if the blues are still around the top four come April.
So unfortunately for Sir Alex, City are not going anywhere soon and the longer we are here, the more noise we are going to make. You can only turn your TV up so many times before you get drowned out yourself.
