His opening-day strike against Fulham put him within two goals of the milestone, which he could reach at the ground he notched the majority of those goals.
He told Teamtalk: "We did reasonably well at Anfield last season and we'll go there confident we can do well."
Although Fulham cancelled out the City striker's opener last week for a 1-1 draw, Fowler believes many Premiership games will be closely contested this season.
He added: "I think there will be plenty of teams beating one another all season. There are a lot of clubs evenly matched and I think all the draws on the opening weekend proved that.
"It took me a while to get off the mark last season and I was quite pleased with my own personal performance against Fulham.
"It was nice to score that goal, especially with the right foot, although I have been known to use it before!
"There was a little bit more pressure last season because it took me a while to find the net. People were on my back because I hadn't scored and now hopefully I can go on from here."
