- Sky Sports has reported that Kiki Musampa is expected to undergo a medical at City on Wednesday.
The Dutch left-winger, 27, has failed to make the desired impact in Spain with Atletico Madrid, and reports in Holland suggest he only has to pass a medical to secure his move to City on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.
- Ben Thatcher's proposed £500,000 move to Fulham has collapsed.
City's communications chief Paul Tyrrell told the official club website: "Ben underwent a medical examination at Fulham last week but unfortunately negotiations between the two clubs have not reached a successful conclusion.
"Consequently the player will not be joining the West London outfit."
The left-back is therefore now back in Manchester, despite wanting to move after his house was twice broken into, and is expected to be available for City's next game against Newcastle.
- Reports from Turkey indicate that Fenerbahce expect to tie up their protracted move for Anelka this week with the Frenchman set to make a visit to Istanbul.
Although City have stressed they will only consider a permanent transfer, it is being suggested that Fener have managed to agree a 6-month loan deal costing €4.7 (£3.26) million with a view to a long-term switch.
However, reports elsewhere say that Fener have failed to follow up their initial enquiry.
