The News Of The World report this morning that City have completed a £25m deal to bring Samuel Eto'o to Eastlands.
Barca president Joan Laporta has confirmed the blues have made a 'stratospheric offer' to Eto'o and the Cameroon ace is to travel to Manchester to finalise the move in the next few days. Eto'o is said to be excited with the direction City are heading in and the type of players they are signing.
As repeatedly reported, City are also set to sign Carlos Tevez when his loan deal at United finishes on Tuesday. Speculation that City have won the race have been fuelled by rumours the Argentine striker has enrolled his daughter with a school in Cheshire, a clear indication the player wishes to remain the the North West.
Elsewhere, Brazilian playmaker Kaka has revealed why he turned City down in January, claiming it will be years before they are challenging for major honours and it is just a project at the moment.
Basically, what Kaka is saying is that he wants instant success rather than having to play his heart out to achieve it and at Real Madrid, this is what he will achieve. Over the years, we have become used to the bandwagon supporter, choosing the team they support based on success rather than location. Now the bandwagon player is here, choosing instant success above working hard for the medals.
Good luck to you son, but I can't wait until Real get their backsides kicked by Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal again.
