Erling Haaland has seemingly leaked his Manchester City shirt number for the 2022/23 season.
Ever since the Norwegian's blockbuster move to the Etihad Stadium was confirmed speculation has been rife over what digit will adorn the back of his jersey.
We may finally have an answer thanks to a video that has emerged on social media. In the clip, Haaland poses with a fan during a recent holiday to Marbella and holds up City's new shirt.
On the back is the number nine, seemingly confirming that the forward will be taking the jersey that was vacated by Gabriel Jesus - who has joined Arsenal - this summer.
Haaland is no stranger to the number nine shirt, having used it during the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons for Borussia Dortmund. He also wears it for Norway but previously in his career he has used the numbers 19, 30 and 17 too.
He had been rumoured to take the number 15 at City - his dad's old number from his time at the club - though that now appears to be wide of the mark.
Haaland is set to be unveiled as a City player on Sunday, alongside fellow new arrivals Kalvin Phillips, Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega Moreno.
