Nedum Onuoha and Willo Flood will be out for another fortnight, but there was some positive injury news for City boss Stuart Pearce.
“Trevor has just started light training, which we’re very pleased about, he’s ahead of schedule,” he said.
“Richard Dunne should start light training in the next day or so, so he’s also ahead of schedule. Andy Cole and Ben Thatcher will join in training today."
Pearce also defended his decision to leave out top scorer Andy Cole at Highbury.
“Speaking to Andy, he said he was fit to play last weekend but he knew in his heart-of-hearts - and I knew talking to him - that he wasn’t, and that he might cause himself damage by playing.
"It was the wise thing to do to drop him and we hope that it bears fruit by his availability on Monday.”
