City have had two bids for the England captain turned down but the indications are Chelsea will sell if City pay around £40m for the player. It has also been reported Terry and City boss Mark Hughes stayed at the same hotel in Dubai days before City launched their latest bid.
In other news, Joey Barton could be offered a Premiership lifeline by new boys Birmingham City. The midland blues want to take Barton on a season long loan but are offering wages of just £25k per week, which is half of the midfielders Newcastle salary.
