The 28 year old moves to Eastlands in a move which sees Joe Hart going on a seson long loan to Birmingham. Taylor has had a lack of first team opportunites at City's feeder club and made eight appearances for Cardiff last season.
Taylor must realise that he will still play understudy to Shay Given but that has failed to discourage the keeper from joining.
