It was reported last week that Sanchez had already agreed terms on a move to Barcelona, while the latest speculation claims Chelsea are ready to enter the race for the Chilean.
Udinese, though, believe City are the club most likely to put together a package capable of landing the highly-rated 22-year-old.
Udinese are holding out for the best possible price - they are said to want ?44million - but Pozzo concedes there is little they can do if City present a suitable offer.
He said: "If he was to leave, I would say that City have the highest probability of success."
Should City make their move, they will hope to have an agreement in place by the time Sanchez takes in his first game for Chile at the Copa America on July 4.
