Roberto Mancini's title hopefuls have been handed a relatively kind opening couple of months to the campaign and tackle Wigan and Everton at home in September, either side of a trip to Fulham.
The first Manchester derby of the season is at Old Trafford on October 22 while the return at the City of Manchester Stadium is scheduled to be on April 2.
City have a potentially tricky period towards the end of November and start of December, with games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal within the space of three weeks.
Boxing Day sees City head to West Brom and there is also a New Year's Eve trip to Sunderland.
Mancini's men open 2012 at home to Liverpool before tackling Arsenal and West Brom over the Easter weekend at the start of April.
City's final away game of the campaign is at Newcastle on May 5 and the last match of the season sees last season's Championship winners Queens Park Rangers travel to Eastlands on May 13.
