City will play both Rangers and Celtic in their warm up to the new Premier League season.
The game against Celtic at Eastlands will be the last friendly before the opening day game at Blackburn and is preceded by the blues visiting Ibrox to play Scottish champions Rangers a few days earlier.
It will be a swift return to Premiership opposition for new Celtic manager Tony Mowbray, whose last visit to Eastlands ended with a 4-2 defeat for his West Bromwich Albion side. Celtic will boast former blue Georgios Samaras in their ranks and he will no doubt want to prove that City were wrong to let him go.
