Manchester City are the next club to face trouble from a French side after Stade Rennais reported the blues to FIFA for allegedly inducing the contract of youngster Jeremy Helan.
The former French under 16 captain signed for the blues in February this year but the French side have now accused City of inducing his contract.
This comes on the back of Chelsea being banned for two transfer windows by FIFA after being found guilty of inducing the contract of Lens youngster Gael Kakuta. Manchester United are also under the spotlight regarding their signing of Paul Pogba from Le Havre.
City deny any wrongdoing and have stated that they were aware of a dispute between Helan and the French club which pre dates any interest from the blues, who have also said they acted above board throughout the whole process. The French Football Federation even provided an International Transfer Certificate but Rennes technical director Pierre Dreossi claims this has been provided in error.
If found guilty, City could face a transfer embargo similar to that received by Chelsea.
