Man City ordered the AWOL striker to return to England at the beginning of the week but Tevez opted to remain at home in Argentina leaving his future at the Etihad Stadium seemingly beyond repair.
Centre of attention: Tevez returned to Argentina without the club's permission
And Inter Milan captain Zanetii believes the San Siro club are prepared to come to Tevez's rescue and make a firm offer when the transfer window reopens.
'In January, some big players will come,' Zanetti said.
'The club is working towards January, and they have always offered support when we needed it.
Problem case: Tevez allegedly refused to come off the bench in the Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich
'He (Tevez) is having problems with his club, but he is a great player.'
While there is still dialogue between Tevez's representatives and City officials, Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor thinks the longer Tevez remains out of the country the worse the situation will get.
? Speaking earlier this week, Taylor said: 'It's another week and there are more problems.
'The situation continues and the longer it goes with him being away the more impossible it becomes to reconcile the situation.'
Tevez's presence had been requested back in Manchester to discuss last week's, apparently unauthorised, trip to Argentina to visit family.
It was just the latest development in a saga which has been dragging on ever since his alleged refusal to play against Bayern Munich in the Champions League in late September.
