City drew many games last season, especially at home, when they had dominated the game throughout.
And after the last home game against Norwich - a 1-1 draw the Blues deserved to win - the 34-year-old City midfielder wants to make sure that does not become a trend this season too.
"The draw will be wasted on if we don't beat Blackburn on Saturday," Bosvelt told the City website.
"The biggest games are not necessarily the ones that look important on paper, and Saturday against Blackburn is probably bigger for us.
"I hope we win because last year we got too many draws in games like this. We are at home and it will be different tactics from last Sunday.
"We must start to win these games at home," added Bosvelt, who is still considering his future once his City contract expires at the end of the season.
"Against Norwich we could have been up two or three by half-time but then we conceded. Hopefully now we can play well and get the points against Blackburn and start to get up the league."
