The Israeli international has been troubled by a groin injury since last December but after a visit to a specialist he has been told the injury is not long-term.
"Eyal went to see the specialist in London on Monday," City boss Kevin Keegan told the club's official website.
"He has trained since and I think we are on top of the problem now. Sometimes it is a case of putting the players mind at ease.
"Players love to be a 100 per cent and sadly that doesn't always happen. So we took Eyal back to London and I think what the specialist told him was spot on."
